More than just a beauty contest, Ergon Energy Tidy Towns celebrates environmental and community development in Queensland since 1971, and has become the most broadly contested civic program in Queensland.
A “tidy” town is a community that works together to improve its appearance and environment, implementing sustainable practices and programs.
From the smallest and most remote communities of fewer than 10 people, to the regional metropolises, Ergon Energy Tidy Towns brings communities together. The program acknowledges and rewards regional communities by recognizing projects that enhance and look after the community’s assets and surrounding environment.
